MPR ).  In addition follow up all the Tx network issues.  You will also be
responsible for reporting to the Tx head at the customer side as well as
ALU MSM.  Provide training to junior engineers.

(Ericsson 2G Optimization Engineer): Penta Consulting urgently require a 2G optimization engineer with a specialization on the optimization of RAN. You must also have strong knowledge on the BSC and MSC. Your focus will be on:

1. Paging and Location Update strategy/parameter audit, which will investigate MSC and BSC parameters that have direct effect on paging and location update. This includes:
a. MSC/BSC AXE parameters review
b. Exchange properties
c. Paging timers review
d. Cell level parameters

2. Resource utilisation, which will investigate and offer solutions on how the system and its features are currently utilised by MTN Nigeria. The area will include the following items:
a. Radio related data check and feature utilisation
b. Route, Traffic, frequency and channel utilisation
c. Service utilisation d. MSC/BSC Processor load e. Size Alteration Events 3. Accessibility performance, which will investigate and offer solutions to areas related to the access to the mobile network.

The following items are included:
a. RACH, SDCCH and TCH performance
Coverage, congestion, drops
b. Call-setup performance
c. Location Update performance - LA reviews
d. C7 signalling performance
e. LAPD link signalling performance
f. End of Selection Codes (EOS)-traces and analysis- and Service Quality Statistics (SQS) performance
g. BSC/BTS Hardware faults
h. Radio network feature and antennae system tuning
