our client’s office in Oman (Middle East). Client is one of the leading GSM
Telecom Operator.

SECTION HEAD – IMS

Level: Senior Engineer
Reporting to: Department Head – Core network

2. Job profile:

2.1. Objectives:
• Responsible for planning, dimensioning and optimisation of IMS network
which consists of CSCF, HSS, BGW,SGW…
• Good understanding of TISPAN standards

2.2. Competencies:
• Good communication skills
• Deep technical understanding of the technology

2.3. Tasks:
• Dimensioning IMS network based on traffic and customer growth
• Evaluation and fine tuning QoS of IMS services
• Providing expertise on optimising the performance of IMS network
• Full responsibility for IMS network platforms performance
• Support Product Management in developing new services
• Integration of IMS with WiMAX, GPON , 3G

2.4. Powers and authorities:

• Approve acceptance test documents
• Approve work orders for daily operations
• Create data network design changes
• Make independent decisions for the work on systems for which he is
responsible for daily operations

2.5. Performance measurement criteria:
• Projects deliveries in terms of time, quality and cost
• IMS network services quality and systems utilisation
• Successful implementation of new technologies as per Product Management
demands

3. Candidate’s profile (minimum qualification):

3.1. Education:
• University diploma or Degree in telecommunication or equivalent
• Various training certificates in packet core area

3.2. Professional qualification:

At least 4 years of background in other mobile operator on similar position
which covers operation, maintenance and dimensioning IMS network

3.3. Other skills:

• Capable of making decisions in critical situations
• Systematic approach in handling parallel tasks
