Job Description for Unix System Administrator:

 

Skills Required:
• Hands on experience in Windows, HP-UX, LINUX, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, Ubuntu
and OpenVMS
• Hands on experience in daily Data Center operations and Servers
Administration
• Hands on experience in Routine Backup/Restore operation
• Worked on backup software like Dataprotector (hands on knowledge)
• Ability to work on shift basis
• Preferred: Windows / HP Unix / Solaris / Other Certification
Responsibilities:
• The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, documenting, system
administration and supporting application users
• Routine system performance monitoring and alerts
• Daily backup/restore operation
• Routine system audit and documentation
• Daily support to application user
• Provide regular feedback / reporting on operations, issues
• Update the asset inventory and track changes with all IMAC
• Data centre management
